Marmaris is the pearl of the Aegean Sea in Turkey and this resort is by far the most environmentally clean. Marmaris – is a string of beaches, most beautiful lagoon, arrays of mountains covered by forests and plenty of opportunities for all kinds of recreation. The first city on the site of modern Marmaris was founded in ancient times, it was called Physkos. At the moment of the ancient city, leaving only a small portion located on a hilltop. It is the oldest district of the city and is called Ashartepe, for many years, archaeologists working here. Today everyone can climb to the top of the hill and see the priceless antiquities, as well as to admire the beautiful panorama of the city. One of the most mysterious and mystical objects Marmaris is the tomb of visionary Saria , who lived in the 17th century and became famous for his prophecies . Incredible, mysterious island Cennet Odasi (Paradise island) will fancy with its beauty. Despite the fact that the island is almost uninhabited, it is visited by thousands of tourists every year.
The island is located opposite the Marmaris and has a clean turquoise water ,this places are rich about fish and seafood (here very often yacht staying or fishing). The first thing to look at – a cave Nmara. Not wide forest road , there is very scenic views and a variety of exotic plants, will bring to cave steps. Ekincik Bay, Dalyan – 2

BC) city of Caunos , inspect the agora , Roman baths , a church and an amphitheater, the breathtaking view waiting for you in every meters of river.

Kas – 3
It is located at the junction of the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean and is quite secluded resort that has not yet experienced over the massive influx of tourists.

Throughout the coast near the sea there are a terrific platform for diving. Beauty of the deep sea is supplemented unique wrecks and ruins of ancient cities , destroyed once the force of earthquakes. The Kekova archipelago consists of two small islands : Toprakada and Karaad – Kekova . White houses of the old quarter , built in the style of Greek architecture , characterized by traditional wooden shutters and balconies overhead .Today it is a picturesque town where the main attraction – its lovely beaches . Here are three main beaches – pebble Komyurlyuk in the eastern part of the city, a small sandy and pebble beach at the mouth of the canyon Kaputash 6 km . It is believed that Patara was founded Patarusom , the son of Apollo . In ancient times, the temple of Apollo at Patara predicted international and everyday events. Alexander the Great conquered the city in 333 BC. e . then replaced in Patara Longest Greek rulers , until the city fell under Roman protectorate , and later under Byzantine rule . Patara – the birthplace of St. Nicholas ( c. 300 BC. E . ) Surrounded by ancient walls of the archaeological site of Patara are many ancient ruins of three Roman arches lead there .

Xanthos – a city that played an important role in history, is an archaeological jewel of Turkey. Xanthos is the territory of the Turkish province of Antalya , and today is known to all as Knk . This city many years ago was the capital of the Lycian state and one of the most powerful and majestic cities of Turkey. Due to its undeniable cultural values, Xanthos was listed in UNESCO World Heritage List .
Xanthos has experienced many things: during its existence many times alternated rulers – were in power and the Persians , Greeks , Romans and Macedonians . not once the city was destroyed, but that did not stop it to resurrect each time, to flourish and become more beautiful and more magnificent than before.
Today, tourists can plunge into history of Xanthos . After all, this city has retained many of the attractions and historical monuments . Especially popular are the famous Lycian tombs .
Also is impressive the Hellenistic gate, on top of which there is an inscription that they are made in honor of the ancient Greek gods – Artemis and Apollo. The important historical value has Ksantossky obelisk on which is engraved the inscription in the Lycian language . Scientists still can not decipher these 250 lines , but under the inscription is a small explanation of the 12 lines in Greek, according to which , the obelisk was made in honor of the fearless and strong warrior.Xanthos is located on a small hill in a wonderfully picturesque valley called Escher , and from there you can enjoy beautiful landscapes framed by the Taurus mountains.
Gemiler Island, Cold Water Bay – 6
Gemiler island , also called the St. Nicholas Island , famous for its many ruins that have survived since the time of the Byzantines. Easiest to get here from the Gulf Gemiler or Blue Lagoon.
Island preserved traces of a large Byzantine settlement , which at one time was the center of Christianity . Between V-XI centuries there were construction. Despite the fact that most of the buildings almost completely destroyed , there is still a lot of interesting things you will see . Demre, Myra – 7
The ancient city Mira (now Demre ) is known as a place of pilgrimage and holy faith . This is the city, where preached the Nicholas . Exact date of foundation settlement is unknown, but according to some Lycian inscriptions, it already existed in the fifth century BC. The Mira has been one of the biggest cities of Lycia , and since the reign of Theodosius II was its capital. In the III-II centuries BC , when it was part of the Lycian Union , the city has received the right to mint coins . In the first century AD the Mira visited by the Emperor Germanicus with his wife Agripina , in honor of the city in the bay which were erected statues of the emperor and empress . Miras decline came in the seventh century , when the city was destroyed by the Arabs and mud flooded river Miros .
Saint Nicholas Church is considered to be the third most important religious building of Byzantine architecture in the East. This historical monument survives today in the form of a cruciform basilica, consisting of one large room . Appearance of the temple , which can be seen in our time , the basilica received only in 520 . The church still avaliable for to see the icons, frescoes , mosaic floors and sarcophagus , where the assumption rested incorrupt relics of St. Nicholas .
The ruins of the Mira is located five kilometers from the coastal strip between the modern town of Demre and the sea. Fortunately, you can still explore the city walls, defended acropolis dating from the Hellenistic and Roman periods. Necropolis of the city is located at the top of the cliffs and affects a huge number of Lycian rock tombs. Most crypts have beautiful facades with inscriptions and reliefs excellent .

Olympos, Adrasan Bay – 8

The Lycian city Faselis was formed , which was considered the largest settlement and had three harbors – Eastern , Central and South . In 333 BC, Alexander the Great gave the city a golden crown . In that times Phaselis was famous about purple oil and roses . After Alexander the city several times passed from hand to hand , and in 167 BC he became a member of the Lycian League and minted coins modeled on the union. Phaselis periodically plundered by pirates. And later the city passed under the dominion of Rome. From this time for three centuries Phaselis only flourished.
Most of the preserved ruins belongs to the Roman and Byzantine periods. Right from the entrance to Phaselis are the most ancient city walls of the fortress (3rd century BC.
