Iraklia island belonging to Cyclades islands is worthy of your attention. Empty village of Livadi (Livadhi) lies just behind the beach of the same name and draws attention with crumbling ancient walls and Venetian fortifications times’ duchy of Naxos.
Cave of Agios Ioannis is located in the upper part of the valley leading to the Gulf Vurkarya (Vourkaria), and is known as one of the earliest Christian sites in the region. Hence it is easy to go to a small sandy beach in Alim (Alimia), from here you can reach the shore in Shinuse (Skhinoussa) or shingle beach Karvunolakos (Karvounolakos).
